Petualangan Sherina

Petualangan Sherina is an attractive Indonesian musical film. It was created by the fabulous filmmakers Mira Lesmana and Riri Riza. Most of the scenes were shot on a beautiful tea plantation in Lembang. Many people believe the film is a turning point in the history of Indonesian cinema. It could compete with foreign films. The cast includes Sherina Munaf as Sherina, Derby Romero as Sadam, Ratna Riantiarno as Sherina’s mother, Mathias Muchus as Sherina’s father, Didi Petet, Uci Nurul, Butet Kertaredjasa and Djaduk Ferianto.

The movie was a great success. It attracted large audiences throughout the country. More than 1.2 million people flooded the theaters to watch the film. In the 45^th Asia-Pacific Film Festival in Hanoi, Sherina was awarded the prize for the most talented child actress for her role in this film.

The story is about a little girl named Sherina who lives in a beautiful village. Her father gets a job in Bandung and the family has to move there. All of this happens quite suddenly. Sherina has to go to a new school. She faces a problem when she meets a brat-naughty kid- called Sadam. They embark on an unforgettable adventure. The experience is really memorable. They meet some bad guys. Sherina and Sadam have to help each other to survive. This is how they become good friends.
